Come here to surf, eat, sleep and repeat because Punta Roca Surf Resort is now open to the public and offering a premium surf vacation. With over thirty three years and two generations of surfing knowledge and experience in El Salvador you can trust that your hosts know what surfers want. This new resort features individual villa type accommodation, swimming pool and incredible food in an all inclusive package.
Quiksilver team rider Jimmy Rotherham will be your host while staying at Punta Roca Surf Resort. Along with his family and friends, Jimmy will make sure that you are safe, comfortable, well fed and most importantly, that you are in tune with the local lineup directly in front of the Resort.
Other local spots include Conchalio, San Blas, La Bocana, Zunsal and Mizata. But Punta Roca Surf Adventures is not limited to these breaks with their surf packages.
Keep in mind that most of the surfers in El Salvador don't have access to much gear. Bro down with a few extra leashes, fins or an old board and you will have a friend for life.

THE SURF
El Salvador's 321 KM coastline has beach breaks, rivermouths, reefs and points. But it is the cobblestone points that will hold your full attention as you surf alone at many of the country's best points.
The coastline runs from East to West so most all of the surfing is during the South swell season. This season begins at the end of February and generally lasts until November.
It is normally very glassy or light offshore in the mornings. By mid day the wind is a sideshore and by the afternoon it is usually onshore though still very surfable.
Average waves will be in the 3-6' range, although there are many days of solid 6-10' surf. A couple times per year it will reach 10-15' but rarely does it get any bigger.
Most breaks are rights and the water temperature averages 80-85 degrees all year.

The surf has been great for the 3 weeks that I've been down here. The smallest it has been is head high. The first swell at the end of May was DOH and then some. Kinda got my ass kicked!! More +Waves were unreal. We caught overhead, clean point break surf every day. Surfed 2-3 sessions a day. The food was unreal, the surf camp, restaurant and staff were all killer too. We're super stoked! The last day, Dave and I surfed El Cocal. 2'+ overhead and oil glass for 3 hours with only 3 other guys in the lineup - crazy! Jimmy was awesome too. Super cool guy, really nice and always willing to surf and take us wherever. He took us out to dinner for pupusas with his family one night! He rips too! More +SURFED OUT?
Fishing: Deep sea fishing can be arranged upon arrival by numerous quality operators in the region.
Diving: You must bring your own gear, but several of the offshore islands offer dives with incredible visibility and a large variety of marine life.
Flying: If the surf goes flat, arrange a flight with Jimmy Rotherham. Not only will he blow you away in the water, but Jimmy will fly you over the land and you'll get a feel for how amazing the landscape is in the tiny volcanic country.
Nature Walks: It is a beautiful but rugged countryside, and getting around on foot can be difficult due to the volcanic rocks and thick vegetation. But a good hike will provide you with some epic panoramic ocean views.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
All payments are non-refundable. A 50% deposit of the entire trip amount is required to hold your spot. The balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
If booking within 30 days prior to departure full payment is due at time of booking.
No refund will be given due to late arrival or early departure from dates booked in advance. No refund will be given for unused transfers.
