NIHIWATU RESORT
The resort is phenomenal, simply put, Nihiwatu has been built as a destination for surfers to bring their partners or families and do whatever they want in style and serious comfort.
The resort's focus is on surfing and it's situated on one of the premier lefts in Indonesia. The resort restricts the number of surfers to only 9 at any one time.
There's Luxury Bungalows which are 500 sq ft in size. They have one bedroom with king bed, a bathroom with shower and a furnished balcony overlooking the ocean and sunsets. (2 Adults Max)
The Family Villa at 1,550 sq ft in size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, an on-suite living room and a large bathroom with an outdoor sunken bathtub. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, bathroom and features its own outdoor breakfast pavilion overlooking the forest and sea. (4 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children Max)
"Villa Haweri" is Nihiwatu's luxury private villa. The Villa is dramatically positioned on a small headland with over one and half acres of spectacular waterfront land bordered on two sides by water and by the jungle behind. The villa is separate from the main body of the resort yet close enough to feel a part of it. Living here offers total seclusion and privacy. It's 2,830 sq ft in size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house. The master bedroom with it's king bed has an on-suite living room and a large bathroom with a sunken bathtub in an outside garden. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and a bathroom. The Villa also features its own waterfront swimming pool and a large hill top living and dining room, all with stunning views over the ocean and Nihiwatu's private beach.

Our surf package rates include airport transfers in Sumba (Tambolaka Airport), all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon tea) and all non-alcoholic beverages. Also included is a complimentary visit to one of the traditional villages nearby Nihiwatu.
THE PRICE
There is a minimum stay of five nights but we recommend a stay of one week or more so that youcan really experience all that Nihiwatu has to offer; the time you need to relax, to explore theisland, indulge in sport, make friends among fellow guests and become part of the Nihiwatu family.
Our rates include airport transfers in Sumba, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning andafternoon tea) and all non-alcoholic beverages. Also included is a complimentary full body massageat our Jungle Spa, and a visit to one of the traditional villages located nearby Nihiwatu.

Luxury Bungalows
We have seven comfortable one bedroom bungalows with king sized beds or with twins on request. The bungalows are complete with furnished balconies overlooking the ocean and sunsets; and with bathrooms having showers, hair dryers and the amenities you expect.

We have two spacious villas that are perfect for friends wanting to stay closer together as well as for families wanting more space. Each villa has two large bed and bathrooms and a large balcony, all tastefully decorated with Indonesian antiques and furnishings.

THE SURF
Nihiwatu faces south into the Indian Ocean and therefore the surf here is very consistent. If the surf is flat at Nihiwatu you can be sure it is flat everywhere else in the archipelago. During the months of March to December Nihiwatu provides world-class surf, only a stone's throw from your bungalow.
The wave breaks from deep water onto a shallow reef directly in front of the resort, tubing from start to finish. It is thick and steep on the takeoff and sucking a lot of water up the face. Nihiwatu is one of the fastest rideable waves anywhere, taking only six to ten seconds to travel the 250+ yard length of the wave.
This is not a hot dogging wave, it is full on down-the-line surfing. One slight mistake and you probably won't make it to the channel. Nihiwatu breaks best at 4' and above and the bigger the swell the better the wave becomes. 8' to 10' swells are common here and there are usually several 12'+ swells each year.
