All three villas are architecturally unique with exterior walls of the living and bedrooms constructed entirely of poles and glass, split level design, exposed-beam pole ceilings and 180 degree views enhanced with local hardwoods, finely crafted lava rock walls and beautiful quartzite tile. THE SURF
There are several great breaks just a short boat ride away. Directly in front of the hotel is a break called Coconuts. Further west along the edge of our turquoise lagoon are two or three other breaks. One, named "Catapult" after one of the favorite (and most potent) of Mika's tropical cocktails, is a thick and mean right.
Heading east down the beach from Coconuts are at least two more breaks, including a left reef called Inside Siumu and Outside Siumu. This is short ride from the beach, out a reef pass with a strong, outgoing current.
A little further east down the coast, off of the Aganoa black sand beach, are two more great breaks, a left and a right. Both of these are an easy paddle from the beach if you choose to approach by car. The left, called Boulders, is one of the most popular in Samoa. Aganoa beach is also a great, sandy bottomed swimming beach, with beautiful snorkeling reefs on each side of its small bay and virtually no currents.
Southeast trade winds blow intermittently from around May to October, and are most frequent from June to September, but even in these months, conditions are typically calm and glassy in the morning and often in the late afternoon as well. From November to early April, in these months, the winds are predominantly North to Northwest, with occasional Southeast sea breezes. In the shoulder season months of February-April and October-November, the perfect combination of swell and weather conditions can occur.
The consistent South swells, generated by the storms from Antarctica, typically occur from April to early November (the southern hemisphere autumn, winter and spring), but can happen at any time of the year. From November to early April, North swells arrive from the tropical storms and hurricanes of the North Pacific, often the same swells that have already hit Hawaii's North Shore. Quality Southern swells are also common during this period, generated by regional cyclones in the mid-Pacific making Samoa a perfect year round surf vacation destination.

FOOD
Coconuts Beach Club actually originated with the famous "Sieni's Three Stool Bar and Restaurant", acclaimed now as one of the country's best bar and restaurant. Mika, the bar and restaurant proprietor and part owner of Coconuts, will entertain you as he meanders from table to table telling tales of the early days in Samoa.
Dine under the stars on the Palm Terrace with the sound of the waves breaking on the outer reefs. The setting is as fresh and memorable as the fresh local lobster, crab, prawns, and fish, or the tender New Zealand beef, all accompanied by fine European and California wines, as well as the always present local brew, Vailima. The Cajun Sashimi appetizer is absolutely the best!
The "Meal Deal" that we recommend with the package gives you essentially free reign on the menu at each meal, including unlimited Vailima and house wine with meals.
And then there's the amazing Saturday night special "fiafia" night, where the local Samoan villagers enact the sounds of ancient Samoa during this traditional song, dance, and ceremony. It is a show full of fire, energy and power... definitely not to be missed.
SURFED OUT?

Diving - Snorkel, Scuba or Snuba the live reefs all year long. Rentals available upon request.
Sea Kayaking – Both inside the protection of the barrier reef or the beautiful mangrove filled estuary (at high tide). Enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings and use the kayak to get up close to the incredible birds in the wetlands. You'll get a whole new perspective on the island life.
