WEATHER As with all of Central America there are basically two seasons, a rainy season and a dry season. The rainy season in El Salvador runs approximately from May through October which brings about 80 inches of precipitation. Dry and often dusty conditions prevail from roughly November through April. The tropical climate varies between regions. The coastal plains along the Pacific are very hot, although the humidity is relatively low. The capital city of San Salvador is normally 5-10 degrees warmer than the coast and quite a bit more humid. |
