El Salvador is a friendly country but with a rather colorful past.  Entry and exit requirements are a passport and a "tourist card" that is issued directly by the airline or upon arrival for a small fee.

Make sure your passport has at least 6 months validity remaining on it from the date of your departure out of El Salvador.
